SKUNK SPRAY ANTIDOTE

2 Qt 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/2 cup baking soda
2 tsp. liquid soap


All you need to do is wet down the dog with a hose, mix the ingredients together in a container, and then slowly pour
the mixture over the dog while rubbing it into the fur. After the dog has been bathed in this solution rinse it down
with the hose and the dog will be odor free.

CAUTION: hydrogen peroxide can blind your pet if it gets into their eyes, and care should obviously be taken to keep
the solution out of your dogs eyes, ears and mouth. Otherwise the ingredients are not dangerous to your pet.  Also
remember that hydrogen peroxide can bleach clothing and hair, however, if hair bleaching occurs...don't worry
when your dogs hair grows back out this will be corrected.  I did not notice this happen to any of my dogs that I have   
used it on.


NATURAL MOSQUITO REPELLENT

  • Essential Oils
Peppermint, lavender and geranium essential oils repel mosquitoes. The oils can be purchased at health food
stores, online and at some retail stores. Apply a drop or two of the oil between the dog's shoulder blades daily to     
repel mosquitoes.  OR Avon Skin So Soft bath oil.


  • Lemon
To make a homemade flea repellent, cut six lemons in half and put them in a quart of water to boil. Steep for several
hours, and then strain the solution in a spray bottle. Spray your dog's fur coat, but make sure not to get it his eyes   
or around his face. After you spray the solution on the dog's fur, rub it is with your hands. This natural remedy  can  
be used daily.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar
To relieve your dog from itching, due to mosquito bites, use apple cider vinegar. Put some apple cider vinegar on a
cotton ball and dab it directly on the mosquito bite. This will give immediate relief from itching.


NATURAL FLEA REPELLENT

Homemade Flea Spray
Another homemade flea spray can be made with warm water and essential oils. Mix 600 ml of warm water, two drops    
of pure lavender oil and two drops of cedar wood essential oil in a spray bottle. Shake well and spray on your dog,  
but make sure not to get in your dog's eyes. If you get the spray in your dog's eyes, immediately rinse with water.  
Lavender, peppermint, citronella and lemon grass essential oils can be used in the same way to repel against fleas.



RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE FOR REMOVING TICKS

  • With tweezers, grasp the parasite close to the skin and pull it straight out.
  • If you must use your fingers rather than tweezers for this operation, cover them with a tissue during the procedure and wash them after the tick has been dispatched.
  • Do not twist or jerk the tick; this could cause the creature's head to separate from its body, leaving its mouth parts
    lodged in your dogs skin.
  • Wash the bite with antiseptic and place the tick inside a plastic container marked with the date in case it is later
    needed for verification of illness.


DEODERIZE PORCHES, KENNEL RUNS, DOG HOUSES, ECT.

1 cup green palmolive liquid soap
1 large bottle of amber colored listerine

I mix the above and put it in a concentrate bottle that you hook a water hose to and then spray all area's outside that
smell like "DOG".     You can also mix with warm water in a large 2+ gal portable sprayer.
